FuturePress

FuturePress aims to explore new ways of distributing digital content. Building off our previous work with our open source browser based reader Epub.js, it's meant to be a radical departure from the current Amazonian model of a centralized store. We are exploring concepts such as, “streaming books,” financially incentivizing people to share and discover new works, decentralized store fronts (everyone who can post a link on the internet can be a store), making books into a sort of cryptocurrency, and trying to build an economic model around the economy of ideas.
