Biography

Vincent Chu is the Principal Data Scientist of PG&E’s Volt/VAR Optimization (VVO) Pilot program PG&E’s Emerging Grid Technologies group within the Electric Distribution organization.  He is responsible for the development of an analytical framework to provide insights on pilot results and identify opportunities for the VVO team. 

Vincent started his career in software development with the Supply Chain Globalization group at Oracle and held multiple internal and external consulting roles since then.  Some of Vincent’s career highlights include development of an IT system for Health Insurance Providers to comply with the Affordable Care Act at PwC, and leading the Analytics and Business Intelligence group at PG&E to provide analytics and modeling support to the work and resource planning process. 

Vincent holds a BS in Computer Science from UC San Diego, a MS in Computer Science from Stanford and a MBA from Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
