Biography
I am a 29 year old second year master's student at UC Berkeley's School of Information, due to graduate in May of 2008. My primary area of interest within the program is human-computer interaction with a particular focus on usability research.

I came to the iSchool from the Navy, where I worked as an intelligence analyst and Russian translator for 4 years. If you've ever spent any amount of time working with government information systems, you probably understand my passion for good, usable design. By far, the coolest part of that whole period was getting to attend DLI.

My other passion is sailing, and I am already planning for the day when I will circumnavigate the world in my own little boat (a Tanton 43, in case you were wondering - it's an amazing design, a cat ketch).
