Jim Fleming: I guess the place to start iswith the title of your book. Would you simply tell me what it is?
Geoffrey Nunberg: It's "Ascent of the A-Word," and the subtitle is "Assholism: the first sixty years."
JF: Did you get a rise out of people the moment they read the subtitle the first time?
GN: Y'know, I didn't want to use the word at all in the title, but I thought that might be coy....
