InfoCamp Berkeley 2014

Saturday, March 15, 2014
9:00 am to 5:00 pm

InfoCamp Berkeley is an unconference-style event for the information community.

It features an egalitarian, community-driven format in which most presentations are designed and delivered by the event goers. It’s a lot of fun! InfoCamp Berkeley is for anyone interested in information-related topics, such as user experience, data science, information architecture, interaction design, informatics, and related fields.

Other than a keynote speaker, there are no pre-determined session topics or presenters. Conference-goers create and lead most of the sessions! To host a session, you determine the topic and format, pitch your idea to the group, and then sign up for a time slot. The exact schedule will be created on the fly.

This structure encourages collaboration, interaction, discussion, and excitement. Benefits include the immediacy of the topics and the fun and excitement of an event that’s being led by everyone.

Who attends InfoCamp? InfoCamp Berkeley welcomes anyone interested in information-related topics, from any perspective. You’ll meet students, professionals, practitioners, academics, librarians, designers, developers, and everything in between!
