Student Career Resources

The School of Information offers career support for students in cooperation with the UC Berkeley Career Center. Experienced staff at the I School and Career Center are knowledgeable about opportunities in the growing information field and are committed to matching student skills and qualifications to the needs of employers.

Services available include

  • career counseling
  • help with resumes and cover letters
  • job and internship search strategies
  • research on employers
  • help locating position openings
  • interviewing coaching and practice
  • help negotiating job and salary offers

In addition to collaborating with the Career Center, the I School sponsors panels, networking events, receptions, and industry talks tailored to MIMS students. We also work with employers to schedule on-campus interviews and an annual I School Career Fair in the spring, which has proven extremely helpful to students seeking internships or full-time positions.
