Admissions Overview

The I School occupies a unique learning niche — on the vanguard of one of today’s most relevant fields (information management) and at the intersection of the many disciplines information touches. If you think our mission matches your goals, we hope you will consider joining us. But before you seek admission, there are a few things you should know:

We're an intellectually diverse community. Our faculty includes world-class researchers and academic leaders from a variety of disciplines, and our students bring a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives, from humanities to computer science.

We're a small, close-knit community. Staying small supports our goal to offer an intensive, collaborative learning experience. But it also means we can only accept about 40 Master's and two or three Ph.D. students each year.

We're looking for the right match. We seek creative thinkers who will contribute to our dynamic community — and future knowledge architects who will carry I School ideas into the world.
